THE WORLD
COMES TO BRAZIL.
In 2027, Brazil will welcome 32 national teams for the Women’s World Cup.
Women from different countries will arrive to represent their nations on the field.
The Competition invites women from those same nations to represent them through literature.
BORN FROM
WOMEN.
The Competition is an initiative of RELHUM — Rede de Enfrentamento e Luta Humanizada das Mulheres, a Brazilian movement of Black women working against Cultural Racism, for gender equality, leadership development and greater female presence in decision-making spaces.
It begins in Brazil with a question that crosses borders:
What is the place of women in the spaces where power is exercised and decisions are made?
SOMETIMES,
TO CHANGE THE LOGIC,
WE MUST REVERSE IT.
RELHUM comes from a familiar word written in another direction.
The reversal is a provocation: to question established positions and look differently at what society has learned to consider normal.
WE DO NOT JUST WANT TO REVERSE WORDS.WE WANT TO REVERSE PERSPECTIVES.
FEMINICIDE
OF POWER
Feminicide of Power proposes a reflection on cultural, social and institutional processes that restrict, silence or interrupt women’s presence in spaces of leadership, authority, recognition and decision-making.
AND BEYOND
THE FIELD?
How many women reach positions of power? How many remain? How many have real authority to decide and transform?
ONE GLOBAL
CONVERSATION.
The same phenomenon can take different forms in different societies.
We do not want to offer the world a Brazilian answer. We want to ask a question and hear the world’s answers.
Each participant will look at her own culture, history, territory and institutions.
WE WANT TO DISCOVER
HOW EACH SOCIETY
TELLS ITS OWN STORY.
BECAUSE
WRITING IS ALSO
OCCUPYING SPACE.
Literature transforms experience into reflection, memory into record, unrest into questions and thought into intellectual production.
During the World Cup, millions will watch women on the field.
THE COMPETITION INVITES THE WORLD TO READ WOMEN BEYOND IT.
WRITE.
REPRESENT.
CONNECT.
The competition will be open to women from participating nations, according to the criteria established in the international regulations.
Authors will develop works around Feminicide of Power, examining women, culture, leadership, recognition, authority and power in their own societies.
Categories, formats, evaluation criteria, stages, recognition, publication and participation in the meeting in Brazil will be presented in:

A WORLD CUP ENDS
WITH THE FINAL WHISTLE. AN IDEA DOES NOT.
